Spokane Christian Church

Love God, care for people, grow in Christ, change the world!

Welcome to Spokane Christian Church! We are a family of believers intent on following Jesus Christ by applying the Bible to our lives. We welcome all ages, nationalities, and walks of life.
Sunday Worship is for each of us to fall more in love with God, His Son and His Word. You can expect music, songs, video, sharing, teaching and fellowship to help us connect with Our Creator and each other.
Our small groups meet regularly in homes across the Spokane area as well as Cheney, Chattaroy and Post Falls. We have fun together and build close spiritual relationships that help us walk with God.
Our unity is built on reliable teachings. With God's Word from the Scriptures, we equip one another to teach and help others. Whether you are looking for a solid grasp of the core principles or healing and spiritual relationships or deepening your walk with Christ, we would be glad to arrange personal Bible studies for you.

Sunday Worship is designed to help people fall in love with God, His Son and His Word.  A key word that describes our worship services is CONNECTION, the goal of every worship service is to connect with Our Creator and each other using music, video, sharing, teaching, and fellowship.

What Will I See?

People Just Like You. We are made up of lots of people just like you who are wrestling with the issues of life.  We are real people who are striving to balance our responsibilities and relationship within our family and in our workplace.  We are seeking answers to our questions.  We are far from perfect, but we are striving to rely upon God's Word to find those answers.

Children. Children are an integral part of our lives.  You'll find them all over the place and you'll discover that they love learning about God's love in a fast-paced, fun-packed environment that features some of the most dedicated children's ministry volunteers you will ever find.  Many families come to church and have stayed simply because this is where their children want to be.

Blended Worship. At SCC, we believe that just like all relationships, everyone connects with God in different ways, so we try to use whatever we have at our disposal so that anyone can experience one or two things that can really help them easily connect with God.  So we use a balanced mix of traditional hymns, modern music, instrumentation, and a cappella singing in our worship services, because while we believe that one isn't necessarily "better" than the other, we recognize that we all have different backgrounds and preferences when it comes to worship.  We don't want to "put on a show", but believe our God is worthy enough for us to use whatever the Bible allows to help facilitate a connection with Him.  The worship center features lighting, video projection, and a versatile platform stage.  The arts (drama, film, music, sculpture and painting) are used whenever possible to help illustrate the weekend messages.

What Will I Hear?

Encouraging and Energizing Music. Music has the power to speak to the heart.  Our hearts thrive on encouragement and constantly need to be energized.  We believe God created music to help our hearts connect with Him and with each other.  For that reason, that is the kind of music you will hear at SCC.

The Preaching of God's Word. We strive to preach the Word of God every weekend in a way that is relevant and that addresses real life issues.  We want you to be able to say that what you heard gave you something that could help you throughout the week be like Jesus, in your family, at your work, and in your life.

What Should I Wear?

Dress Comfortable! Some come in jeans, t-shirts, and sandals, while others come in a suit and tie.  Some may describe the atmosphere at SCC as casual.  However our intent with this approach is more about inviting people to be open and accepting of each other rather than to just be laid back.

We want to make sure that we meet people where they are, just as they are.  And we want our guests to see that we're people just like you.  We are not willing to let any perceptions regarding styles of clothing create a barrier for anyone to connect here.

What should I not expect?

We won't "put you on the spot" in our service. Nor should you feel any obligation to participate in the weekly offering or communion unless you prefer to. Rather, we just want you to come hear the Word, connect with God, and for us to get to know one another.

We hope to see you this Sunday!
